  BRUGES  HOTEL BRYGHIA
Hotel Bryghia is a part of the "Oosterlingenhuis" (Eastermenhouse) that was built between 1478 and 1481 (arch. Jan Vanden Poele) by the merchants of the 'Dutch Hanse' who came to Bruges to trade.
On September 6th in 1486 the Dutch emperor Frederik III gave them a coat of arms with the image of a two-headed eagle which you can still admire today above the main entrance of the hotel.
In 1500 the salesmen left the city for reasons of declining trade customs, the silting up of the Zwin, the battle of Bruges with Maximillian of Austria...
In 1965 the Eastermenshouse was restored and transformed into the hotel: BRYGHIA.

The delightful and charming hotel Bryghia, dating from the 15th century, is handsomely restored and located in the very heart of Bruges, overlooking one of the most picturesque canals.
You are assured of a warm welcome in our family-run hotel, the ideal base for exploring the medieval city.
